The snow already started to melt again today. So I took the last chance to enjoy the snow and went for a walk in the park. I hope you all had a lovely winter sunday aswell!
Last week I finally started a new knitting project. I got this rainbow coloured yarn for Christmas and am using it for this stripey cardigan now. I guess it will take me until spring to finish this!
LET’S BE FRIENDS
Just like everyone else I enjoy baking the most at this time of the year. This time I made ginger shortbread cookies. I hope you had a lovely Christmas!
I still had one ball of lovely Scottish handwoven yarn left, it is a great yarn, but a bit scratchy, so I thought I could use it for knitting an accessory! Since I have no sleeve for my phone, this is perfect. I’m wondering if it should have a flap or anything to close the sleeve completly, so maybe I will have to improve this prototype.
Before my short trip to the UK I’ve been checking Cath Kidston’s online shop. The one thing that was attracting my attention the most was this recycled wool rug. Since the rug was the last one left in the shop and there was a 15% discount that day I had to get it. It is a bit scratchy, but very warm & I just love it!
What’s your favourite colour this winter?
During my short trip to the UK I also visited the Twinings shop in London. It is a nice little shop which has been selling tea for more than 300 years, amazing! It was nice to try out all the different tea smells and you could also taste a cup of tea for free. I brought home the Vanilla Chai (Christmas tea), the Queen’s diamond jubilee special blend and this cute tea pot designed by Nina Jarema.
